You post, I listen!

Ok, Ive been a bad blogger. I just haven't had much to share this week. Must pick up the pace but the whole living room debacle has taken the wind out of my sails so to speak.

Just in case you don't think I really love reading your comments and take everything said quite seriously, I ordered the faux French Directoire table. I was torn between that and the twig and the overwelming response convinced me to go for the cheapie. Thanks for the help in deciding and keep those wonderful comments coming.

Its only $63 including shipping so how could I not? At least I'll have ONE piece of living room furniture by the end of the month.

I really would much prefer the "real" one with the marble top but at $730 vs. $63..its not a tough choice. And practically speaking, the glass top is probably better for someone who doesn't like to use coasters (me). Thanks to joi of Nuestra Vida Dulce for mentioning it.

And speaking of good ideas, I picked up a copy of Better Homes & Gardens this weekend. Very much unlike my recent experiences with Martha Stewart Living and Domino, I was really impressed with some of the ideas in there. Of course their website is aweful - full of pop-ups and no easy way for me to share some of the good content I saw in this months issue. But the magazine is worth a look.

Lastly - I finally got around to updating my blog roll with my favorite sites. If I have missed you, please let me know!

  1. Surprisingly, I actually prefer the less expensive option. Can't wait to see it when it comes in!

  4. Woo-hoo! Thx for including my little blog on your blogroll =)You know I *heart* your blog.

I love the directoire table you ended up getting. I liked the twig one, too (is that the one teresa got?) but I don't think you could go wrong with either one. They're both gorgeous.

  6. Did you end up painting the desk for your guest room? I'd be curious to know what sort of finish you used/are planning to use...matte, satin, semigloss??

  12. What a treasure finder you are! I'm so glad I don't live too near you. I may just be a total biter and completely have to copy you on some of these finds. Imitation is flattery, yes? I've been dreaming of your mirror for a while now. sigh:)
