The frames were hung from the moldings with care...

...in hopes that some art soon would be there.

Frames hung

Remember those free frames I scored in early May? Well I took the large ones and hung them on either side of the pocket doors in the living room.

The anal retentive side of me doesn't like that they don't match but at least the are a similar size. Considering the low, low price of $0 - I think its looking pretty gorgeous.

Frames hung

Another reason why I love those picture rails (I wish I had added them upstairs!) is that hanging these requires no holes in the walls. The hook at the rail balances on the molding and a wire holds the frame up. Easy peasy.

I suppose Ill have to make some holes to hang something inside these frames. I wish I could hang them off the larger frames but Im not sure how to accomplish that without a feat of engineering. But for now, at least there is something on the walls adding a bit of texture.
