Dear Santa...

Ok, so maybe I haven't been that good. But I thought I'd share whats on my wishlist anywho. Are you listening Mr. Claus?

This fabulous phone (that is now sold out from Sadie Olive's etsy shop).

This chic umbrella stand (that is now on backorder from ZGallerie).

This spooky yet I can't look away Monkey Vase from Home Decorators. (Loved it ever since I spotted it over at Kay's place Apartment #412)

Any old overhead projector for crafty pursuits.

So what's on your wish list?

  1. Scary monkeys, run!! ;) The umbrella stand is chic and whimsical, love it! I had an overhead projector that I gave away before we moved in the summer, I couldn't think of anything to do with it (except large-scale mural tracing and the odd shadow puppet theatre, both of which I don't plan on doing anytime soon). What are your crafty plans with it (if Santa is good to you)?

  3. Kerry - I'd like to try a wall mural. It might be a bust so I'd be fine with a cheap second hand one. It just needs to project, nothing fancy.

agoodbuild = Oh, I want that too! I forgot all about it :)

  4. I have a projector for crafty pursuits as well, and love using it for large scale wall murals! I hope Mr. Claus hears your request! They come in handy! :)

  6. The monkeys are scarey:) I think I would think twice about them. LOL I love the phone though. This year we just moved into a new home so that is our Christmas. I did buy Michael Buble tickets and wished myself a Merry Christmas.

  7. LMAO re the reactions so far to the monkey vase. He's actually not TOO scarey in person :) and kinda cute when he's holding something.

Most of my list consists of books. So hopefully I'll get 'em all.

  9. There are about a dozen of those overhead projectors in my university's surplus shop. Just an idea, if you don't mind something a little clunky...you'll probably be able to find one if one of the NYC area colleges has a surplus sale.

Our surplus shop went online this year and from what I hear, this is pretty common. :)

  10. Spooky monkey made me almost pee my pants. Love its chic kookiness!

On my list: recessed lighting throughout our house. Too much? =]

  11. Ditto on the surplus sales. We must've gotten rid of 500 projectors this past year. I guess I would've held onto mine if I'd considered the crafty option... Fie!

Love all your picks! Unlike you, I'm from a fairly rural area, but we recently had several industrial businesses that donated our school lots of overhead projectors. They have gone to powerpoints and computer projectors and rarely use them. You might find one cheap that a local business is through with.

  20. Love the telephone and the umbrella stand (even though it hardly ever rains here....) I'd have to pass on the monkey, though. Sorry.

I would say I could always take more fabric for quilts, but my house is overrun. So maybe storage units would be in order....

  21. Hi,
I've been following your blog for awhile but have never left a comment until now.
You should check out the Conair Classic Metropolis Retro Style Corded Phone on Amazon.
I got one a month ago for my bedroom & love it.

  23. Creepy ceramic animals are the best! Hope you get everything on your list.

As for me - French Bulldog, cowboy boots, colored Hues tights, Chocolate Bar's Salty Pretzels dark chocolate bars, some Stumptown coffee, and anything my friends of family think I would love!

You can find vintage phones galore on ebay for a reasonable price. Oh, and in working condition, too.
