Back from a bruising...

Those that follow me on twitter know that I've been on a 2 week work trip that has kicked my patoot. So not fun, confused about what time it is and now its back to work. The one highlight being the sweet frequent flyer miles.

Most important task of the day is a giant virtual hug to the wonderful guest bloggers who shared their homes for the 'my favorite nook' guest series. I've said it before and I'll say it again - it makes me feel so much better to have the blog in good hands when I can't be here to mind it myself. I hope you enjoyed the series as much as I have. I have more coming at the end of the month. And if you're itching to share your favorite nooks with me, please don't be shy. Email me here.

As I said, it was a work trip so I had virtually nothing of worthy of photographing. (The inside of office buildings make for extremely dull photographs.) I did get to pop over to Sentosa Island off Singapore during my stay. I wouldn't really recommend it - its kind of cheesy and dull - but I took a couple of photos that day just to prove I wasn't laying on my couch eating bon bons.

As you might have guessed, I'm extremely jet lagged. I'm feeling a little bit drained and pressed for time. I hope to be back to regularily scheduled programming this week. Coming up: An baby shower invitation I did last month, more answers from the Whadya wann know? posts (if you have more questions, feel free to add them in the comments of that post) and revealing one of my dirty little secrets.

  2. Sentosa Island, "so little to see, so much money" is the refrain I heard when returning from a trip to that island. What a disappointment. My husband and I spent a day there with our 10 week Isabella, hiking through what was supposed to be a rain forest. I heard a waterfall, only to discover it was chlorinated and the log steps on the paths prefabricated. What a strange and interesting place, Singapore...but I adored every bite of food I ate there!!
