Bucketed

I really love reading other peoples 30 under 30 lists. I even tried to write my own 35 before 35 list but failed. The world is too big, time is too short. Much like I always seem to think I can accomplish way more in a weekend than I actually can, I figure there was no chance I'd be able to hit all 35 in time. I don't need that kind of pressure :)

So imagine my excitement when I stumbled onto a tumblr site all about making a life bucket list in photos - perfect bucket list. Much more fun, a lot less stress. Want to see mine?

Added bonus is that scrolling through those lists reminds me of some of the cool stuff I have already done so I don't feel quite so old or out of time.

Have you blogged about your bucket list or 30 under 30? How is it going?

  3. I have been putting together a 30 before 30 list with my husband since we both turn 30 this year - it has been lots of fun. I also started a life bucket list on Pinterest but it seems to be pretty (completely) focused on world travel! Guess I have straight forward goals!

  7. I did not do a 30 under 30 list but maybe I should do a 35 before 35 list or a 40 under 40? Hhhmmmm.

  8. Fun! I've never complied one of these, however, my niece just did a polar bear plunge in Alaska this past week and I think she's crazy. :)

I seriously did a little happy dance to see have a baby on the list. I can't wait to see what type of nursery ideas you have!

  10. This is so fun! I actually have seen fireworks from a plane. It was kind of surreal. The bird's eye view is pretty amazing. I highly reccomend it.... even if it's not on *your* list : )

  11. I haven't heard of the 30 under 30 lists, maybe because I passed 30 a long time ago! :o) I've seen these pinned on Pinterest.

I do agree, there is so much I want to do, see & learn I'll never have time for it all. The world is a very exciting place.

at almost 56, I am thinking about
1 in 1. one big thing to accomplish in one year! You girls who are 30 under 30- you should hurry and do it- get it out of your system because it only gets harder! Hmmm just had an idea! maybe i SHOULD try for "30 in 30"- that will take me to 86! It's the same as 1 in 1, but sounds sooo accomplished, doesn't it!

  13. I'm too late on the 30 under 30. How about 40 under 40. I've got to go. Tick-tock;)

  14. As I stumbled towards forty I blindingly realised that if I wanted to walk the Machu Picchu trail, I'd better ORGANISE IT! Since then I've been far better at doing what I want but one at a time, a list is too much.

  15. Of the ones you posted - I've been on many, many road trips to Canada (starting from both California and Oregon) and I was a fine arts major in college, so I can check off drawing. ;)

I don't have any written down lists, though I do have a travel-focused list that lives with me mentally.

Well, I HAD a 35 by 35 thing going, but I failed miserably. Now I'm calling it by 35 in 35. Ha! Guess I'd better get on that! ; )

  17. I started seeing the 30 under 30 lists a couple of months ago - it made me feel old. Then I decided I liked the concept so I'd make a 35 under 35 list. Then I realized that 35 is this year and that made me depressed. So now I'm thinking about a Before I Die list. We'll see if I can finish it before I have a panic attack. :-)

  18. My daughter pointed out to me the other day that I was "almost 40" (in 5 years), and there's a part of me that started freaking out. lol Half of me wants to make a bucket list like this, and the other half of me says "When would you even have the time to do those things?"

  19. I've never really made a list like this, but I think I might now! 25 before 25 :)

  20. I just turned 29 at the end of December so I'm working on my 30 Before 30 list right now. It's one thing to have daily to-do lists and dreams of maybe someday things I'd like to do, but I'm finding that writing these things down and putting them out there for everyone to see makes it all the more real. Within one day of posting it I received so many offers of help, notes of encouragement, and news of others inspired to make their own. Like you, I also like reading other peoples lists -- some inspire me and others remind me of the amazing things I've already done. Thank you for sharing yours!

  21. I haven't made a 30 before 30 list (mostly because I'm 32) but 35 before 35 could be cool. Granted, I'm apt to put stuff on that I can cross off right away :-)

    Baby? That surprised me.

I can't afford to go to any of the places I want to travel to, so I think I best skip the list.

Hey - don't forget to stop in and visit your friends in Canada while you are on that road trip!

  26. I don't have a bucket list, per say, because there is SO MUCH I want to actually do in this world that it seems overwhelming to me. I love what you have listed here, though, and I am definitely going over to that Tumblr to check it out! Thanks for sharing.

  28. Road trip to Canada! I know just where you should visit ;) I'm way beyond 30 but I have a life list of about 90 items ( which will probably take me until I'm 90 to accomplish.)

I'm not surprised that you want to have a baby. You'ld make a wonderful mother - and throw the best parties for your little one too, I'm sure :)

  29. Baby?? Wow! That's a project I can't wait to see for you and your husband. I'm excited now!

  30. I made a list last year. I have a month to complete it. That hurts. I have completed more things than I actually thought I would.

  32. Yes! I love these lists! When I turned 27, I came up with a 30 Before 30 list (and gave myself three years to accomplish it!). I have only ticked off a few items, so I'd best get going. Here it is: http://remarkablelulu.tumblr.com/post/2497665390/30-before-30

Looking forward to checking out the Tumblr you mentioned!

I can't read the small script text in your list. And I'm dying to see what it says. Waah.

  35. I wanted to do a 30 before 30 challenge but my 29th year was full of transition so I decided to focus on that instead. I wish I could have done the 30 before 30 though so instead I have decided to do a "12 in 12."

If you want you can check it out here

You must have missed your chance to attach a lock to the love bridge when you were in Prague. They have one just over by the Lennon Wall in a very picturesque spot.

    Maybe next time ...
