Steal this Idea: Postcard Wall Art

Ok so its not technically Friday so maybe this Steal this Idea* is a misplaced but it FEELS LIKE FRIDAY - and thats all that matters.
Today's project comes from a blog I've admired for ages, How About Orange

As a fabric designer, Jessica Jones has a way with pattern and design so its no surprise this project turned out beautifully. I love how she used foam pieces to give the collection depth but contains it in a neat rectangle so its not overwelming. She used the penguin postcards but obviously this would work just as well with postcards from your travels or favorite photographs or just about any series of images.

Read all about it over at How About Orange

postscript: *When I say steal, I really mean borrow nicely and give proper credit!

**If you have an idea/tutorial you would like me to consider for a feature, email me. I'd love to see!

  1. This is super cute!  I used to use postcards as "wall art" from about age 14 to 21.  I used to collect those GoCards from bars/restaurants in the city which I thought were sooooooo cool.  My high school bedroom and college dorm rooms were always plastered with my favorites.  This is a much more chic way of doing this :)

  2. Adorable! You can really add color to any room...so long as you can find the postcards. :)

Love this idea! The idea of using postcards from all over is a great sentimental piece too! Thanks for sharing :)

Yes, there was I time when I also use post cards to decorate the walls. But foam board is a good idea to keep cards organized and in neat way.
