Details from the Best Wedding Ever

If you recall a few months back, I shared what I think were the most awesome wedding invitations and its finally time to reveal some details from the big day. It would have been easy to be let down after the invite but we had the most amazing weekend celebrating two of the most important people in our lives.

Just like the invitations, the wedding itself reflected the couples personalities and talents so well that it felt warm and  personal all the way through.  As a guest, it was a complete treat to enjoy it.

The flowers, furniture rental and styling was done by Karma Flowers. I really can't sing their praises enough.  Of course they did a gorgeous job with the ceremony, bouquets, tablescapes and furniture but they just created so many gorgeous vignettes in every little spot that I was completely blown away.  (And I already had pretty high expectations!) I just loved all the furniture they brought to make the grounds beautiful including huge church pews for a garden ceremony, lovely settees for lounging, a vintage dresser for a pre-ceremony lemonade stand and so much more!

Not to be forgotten the wedding was held at the Inn at Barley Sheaf which was just lovely and all of the beautiful photos are via Sharyn Frenkel Photography.

With the groom doing an amazing job on the handmade invites, the bride took it up a notch.  She made hundreds of jars of homemade jam and pickles for guests to take home as favors.  As if that wasn't enough, she made infused liquors for speciality cocktails (whose recipes were created by a mixologist bridesmaid).  As if she didn't have enough to do with all of that, she also made horseshoe shaped chocolates to go with the place cards.  (They were absolutely delish!) I helped with all of the printed pieces like the signs, jam labels and programs (which contained a choose your own adventure flowchart within but was not photographed - bummer!)

There so much laughing, crying (mostly on my part), dancing (again, me), love and hugging that its hard to imagine a better time could have been had.  There were lots of little things that are hard to convey via the photographs but it really was such a beautiful celebration of a new chapter in their lives. Congrats to the Newlyweds!

    1. I can't imagine it either! Between waiting for the various fruits to be in season, cooking and jarring and labeling it all, it took months. Really a labor of love. I can say that they were really tasty! Everyone was grabbing bags full after having a taste at the cocktail hour.

  4. Beautiful! Do you think you could convince the mixologist bridesmaid to share some of her recipes here? I want all of those.

    1. I made the menu sign so I definitely have the list of ingredients for each cocktail but not their proportions. Did you want the exact recipes?

  6. Wow! That is a beautiful wedding and I know that a lot of love went into perfecting all those details. I am sure your brother feels blessed to have a sister as gifted in graphic design as you are to help with paper products. Very special.
