It sounds like your contractor just isn't experienced in that particular project so best to get someone who is rather than have him learning on your job. Hope that helps!Mrs. Limestonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06159249562273770481noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38356705.post-68615166749978632832013-08-27T21:51:24.959-04:002013-08-27T21:51:24.959-04:00I just realized that I should have included my ema...I just realized that I should have included my email address. It's loopydivachristy@gmail.com. I do have to do this on a super tight budget. Our insurance is only covering the floor, but I'd rather get the experts to do the cabinets and the floor at the same time. Is that logical? :) I hope so! The contractor I talked with isn't sure how two types of concrete would work, or how pricey it would be.. I don't want or need a super fancy kitchen, I just want it to be functional. Thanks to a small leak in the line leading to our ice-maker, I get a new floor. And, since we're getting a new floor, I'm getting new cabinets. Are you familiar with the book If You Give A Mouse A Cookie? :)

Our kitchen was once a carport. A previous owner turned it into a very poorly designed kitchen. I'm sure that his wife was happy with the extra space, but I would bet she was not consulted when it came to cabinet placement.

Thanks so much for your speedy response! If you have any advice, I would be happy to hear it. I've never demolished a kitchen! I'm a bit nervous and stressed! (Generally I keep the exact name of these things because of questions like yours but I can't seem to locate my receipt so I don't have the style number.) I do know that its made by Roca tile, they are 12x24 inch tiles and its $3/sq foot at Classic Tile. (The tile I was originally going to use which I think is nicer but twice the price was 12x24 EdiMax Space Spaz Porcelain.) I want to say its this one:http://rocatilegroup.com/products/index.php/avila.html but I couldn't be sure without finding my receipt.

hope that helps!Mrs. Limestonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06159249562273770481noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38356705.post-92161606039637054332013-08-27T19:24:09.422-04:002013-08-27T19:24:09.422-04:00I'm getting ready to tile my kitchen - can you...I'm getting ready to tile my kitchen - can you tell me more about those tiles?
