Something like that might work on a smaller scale for around Agatha bed. It could have a den like feel for her. Maybe you would prefer something less complicated but it really did look lovely.Aoifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15300623920551353316noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38356705.post-74035612420604231352014-06-11T15:47:07.347-04:002014-06-11T15:47:07.347-04:00Being an Ikea gal I pour over their catalogs and s...Being an Ikea gal I pour over their catalogs and spend lots of time roaming their store. As an infant & toddler our son was a very light sleeper. I couldn't even sneak into his room with socks on to put his laundry on the dresser! My fault - hubby worked nights and I didn't make any noise for him to learn to sleep. The problem is solved. He's 47 and lives in another state now.....:-) Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09468248280025055203noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38356705.post-53896337552968665612014-06-11T14:24:59.414-04:002014-06-11T14:24:59.414-04:00Thanks so much for responding! My husband is doing some talk shows next week and they usually put us up in some nice places that have bigger bathrooms (like Essex House or the Ritz-Carlton), so we may try that! We stopped in Paris last year for a few days after a business trip to Cannes, and I so wish we had gotten an apartment--our room was so tiny so he had to sleep with us. It was our first time to France and we just didn't know--we will definitely know for next time! :) That's so great that your suite in Paris worked out! Yes, I am completely jealous of people who have kids this age that just conk out and don't wake up no matter how much noise you make. Miles has slept with a white noise machine since he was born and he still wakes up at the slightest noise. :/kristimontaguehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13662380497555998817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38356705.post-76870784685495306582014-06-11T12:36:32.180-04:002014-06-11T12:36:32.180-04:00Oh I'll have to ask my husband how many miles ...Oh I'll have to ask my husband how many miles she flew in her first year...thats a fun fact :)

We generally try to rent apartments or stay in suites when we go away just like you do (Agatha wont really sleep in our bed much - she just thinks its playtime). It s definitely worth the added expense IMO. In Paris we were using points to stay in a suite but found out that the "suite" just meant a larger room rather than a separate sleeping area. We were going to pay to upgrade to a room with separate bedroom but as it turns out, the room we did have had a huge walk in closet (much bigger than her bedroom at home complete with closet and Juliet balcony!) so we put the pack n play in there and it worked out perfectly. On another trip we put her crib in the bathroom. I just do my best to find a spot as far removed as possible from our bed and that usually works out. I'm hoping she eventually becomes a more sound sleeper but until then, you do what you have to do!

Hope you have a great trip to NYC!Mrs. Limestonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06159249562273770481noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38356705.post-14272532037815335182014-06-11T12:03:40.063-04:002014-06-11T12:03:40.063-04:00Just a question--our son Miles is 1 month older th...Just a question--our son Miles is 1 month older than Agatha and my husband and I travel a lot with our jobs (we flew 38,000 miles with him in his first year--he definitely lives up to his name!) When he was little he would sleep in a pack and play or crib in our room, but as he got older he refused to sleep in the same room with us unless he is in our bed (and basically nursing all night as he woke up.) We were blessed on recent extended trips to be able to stay in rental houses and put him in another bedroom away from us, but next week we will be in NYC for 3 nights and I know we'll have this same problem again! I've finally weaned him to just nursing when he wakes up and at bedtime, but I have no idea what I will do with him in our hotel room, and trying to put him to bed without him sleeping in our bed. What did you guys do on your recent trip to Paris?Kristihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00892345270748638178noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38356705.post-13868964410230906602014-06-10T20:18:07.119-04:002014-06-10T20:18:07.119-04:00Or... I can't stand an actual white noise machine, but the fan gives us enough of a buffer she doesn't stir when we enter/leave the room or just move the covers. Maybe the white noise would help with that if we left it on all night but not ideal. Just want to do something that looks intentional rather than just putting up a screen. I know it is a tiny space, but is there a chance that she could have a "secret" bed in the living room? Something that rolls under furniture, folds down from the wall, unfolds from a footstool? Because however you do this, unless she is in a soundproof box (not good), she will hear you!! Best of luck there
Mrs Mac.
