Last year I had to strings with 120 lights and one with 160, all in all 400 lights, but its far from this effect. We have a faux pre-lit tree as well - I have to say, it's the way to go when it comes to lighting (I never could stand stringing all those lights on a tree myself, it seemed to take forever). As for a topper, if you are wanting something nontraditional, how about a big old vintage-style gentleman's top hat decorated with plaid or tartan ribbon. I saw that somewhere in a magazine or something and it was so cool. That's what I do with my Martha Tree to have blinking lights because the others stay on.
Don't know how to tell you to top it. A pretty angel, Traditional Star? Or there are little adapters you can plug into your power bar, that offer different flashing settings. Hope that helps... we have flashing ones outselves!Pretty Little Things for Home & Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09468068715388849915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38356705.post-6879408304751730932008-12-02T12:53:00.000-05:002008-12-02T12:53:00.000-05:00That tree is fab - loving the lights.xvThat tree is fab - loving the lights.xvvicki archerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07847183975086900816noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38356705.post-8591572189909562412008-12-02T12:24:00.000-05:002008-12-02T12:24:00.000-05:00looks great...we got a similar faux one and it hol...looks great...we got a similar faux one and it holds up well...i do miss the fresh scent too but the real ones don't hold up in vegas too well! you can always burn pine candles to get the scent :) love your blog!
kisses from las vegaslisa @ luxehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01173822151578323189noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38356705.post-27221059534326097042008-12-02T10:24:00.000-05:002008-12-02T10:24:00.000-05:00I use a big sparkly bow with lots of long streamer...I use a big sparkly bow with lots of long streamers that a tuck into the tree as they fall.
