WWJS...What would Jackie say?

In my neck of the woods, this is in the same boat as a car on blocks in the yard or going to the store with curlers in your hair. I'm all for re-purposing, recycling and re-doing...but there is a limit. This is it.

BTW...the above was said with a smile and a laugh...not harsh tones. I enjoy your blog immensely, even when I disagree. A toilet is just a ceramic pot in the end...and of course it was cleaned so why should it be discussing? It is just an object, its purpose is the one we want it to have...

People use manure in their plants and crops, don't they? Shouldn't that be more discussing, in the end, than using clean toilets to grow flowers and such? Cause if you think about it, you eat vegetables grown in cow (or other) manure.

I personally wouldn't put it in a front yard, but I would have no problem putting it in the back. In fact, I do have old toilets from an interior renovation done a while back, and maybe I can give them a better purpose than just being there slowly rotting away and using up outdoor space or being dumped in the garbage. I'm all about using everything to the limit. If I have a chair and can turn it into a cat bed, why not turn a toilet into a flower vase? It is the same to me. :)

Btw, love your blog.
And sorry for any English mistakes, since I'm not English.
:)Diananoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38356705.post-31214879442896459002012-04-16T22:48:39.256-04:002012-04-16T22:48:39.256-04:00 I've seen small garden sheds made to 'loo... I've seen small garden sheds made to 'look like' an outhouse - just the tall narrow shape & a half moon window in the door, for example. I guess this doesn't bother me as much because I know they aren't really outhouses, they're storage sheds or potting sheds for the garden.Jen Ynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38356705.post-34998922652035458902012-04-16T22:46:42.219-04:002012-04-16T22:46:42.219-04:00I totally agree with you. I don't find it cute or clever in the least. I don't know what y'all call it in the North, but folks down here with an ounce of good taste call it "tacky!" I've noticed that it seems to be favorited by the same folks who brought to the landscape design world -- metalic gazing balls, flowers planted in wrought iron beds, waddling duck statuary, white plastic garden urns, and old couches on the front porch.Kvenablenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38356705.post-38462869464326190182012-04-16T19:01:10.537-04:002012-04-16T19:01:10.537-04:00Yeah, gotta say, a bit weird.
