The platters hang flat on the wall and look great. Follow the directions exactly, wait the 24 hours, and you'll be fine! <br />On a side note, it doesn't bother me that I can't put my platters in the dishwasher with the english dish hangers on the back. They're vintage, and with the super flat dish hanger on the back, I can take them down, use them, hand wash them and put them back, no problem. <br />Good Luck! Place the paper clip through the back of the fabric before you glue it. Use lots of glue and let it dry completely. They have been on my wall for more than a year and have survived the hot Utah summers and show no sign of giving up.
