These remind me of ice plant that grows like a weed in Southern California (even along the freeway with no care). If they are like ice plant, they like sandy, well-drained soil, lots of sunshine, and infrequent deep watering- like regular rain. Since you don't have a way for those individual holders to drain, I'd just do a light spray-like rain- with the hose once in awhile, but not often. Ironically, the less attention you give them probably the better they will do. Good luck!Erinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38356705.post-1195145390693829152012-06-11T23:25:32.615-04:002012-06-11T23:25:32.615-04:00Love it! I hope it does well for you. I purchased 2 kinds of plants at a nursery and already had a third growing in a container but I didn't bother to shop around. I don't remember the pricing but I probably spent about $35. He says they grow without much care. I then proceeded to purchase a multitude of succulents from him for our sunroom! I think this is a great idea! That would give them more soil to grow in.

Country squirrels love tomatoes too. I know your pain. Imagine country squirrels rolling canteloupe & watermelon out of the garden! I'm not terribly familiar with succulents, but the once concern that I see would be that they have enough soil to properly root and get nutrients. Whether or not it lasts a long time, it sure looks great!Laura@JourneyChichttp://journeychic.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38356705.post-40354190210936756972012-06-11T08:56:23.550-04:002012-06-11T08:56:23.550-04:00that is such a cool idea!that is such a cool idea!Henderson1026noreply@blogger.com
