Aggie actually chose it so it was an easy sale.  I shared a photo of her standing next to it proudly and soooo many people messaged me to say they had this same desk growing up in their bedroom.  Not surprising since it was a big seller for years from Sears. A backyard luau is something we have never done before so we went with it. \u0026nbsp;In addition to the grass skirts and flower leis, I wanted to build a basic tiki bar to add to the charm. Screw together using 1x2s. \u0026nbsp;Place those pieces where you want your shelves to sit. I have them at 13 and 21 inches from the bottom. This will make the front of the tiki bar.\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003ELine up 4 of the 35 inch pieces edge to edge, screw together using 1x2. \u0026nbsp;Repeat. \u0026nbsp;This will make the left and right side of the tiki bar.\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EScrew the left and right sides to the face by abutting the short edge to the back of the long edge.\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EScrew in the 1x2s to the underside of the top. \u0026nbsp;Screw in at right and left for extra hold.\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EPlace the shelves on the 1x2s support\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EStain or paint as desired. Pulling up carpet, sanding and staining the rustic existing floor boards and the whole space getting a fresh coat of white paint. The dining table and chairs are hand me downs from my sister in law's parents so absolutely free. The indoor herb garden was put together with a few scraps and some hardware and make a great live addition to the room. \u0026nbsp;The one splurge was \u003Ca href=\"https:\/\/www.etsy.com\/listing\/130766375\/white-antler-chandelier-faux-antler?ref=shop_home_feat_2\" target=\"_blank\"\u003Ethis antler chandelier\u003C\/a\u003E which gives the whole space a fun element while still being clean and modern.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cimg border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-GJEZ6r-WnuI\/V3aCFfoImqI\/AAAAAAAAC8c\/x7OaQDXSn3Qo1juWuhZoKpHaPmchmTSaACLcB\/s1600\/CountryCottageDiningRoomExtras.jpg\" \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EWhen budget allows, I think these \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/29edCUt\" target=\"_blank\"\u003Ecopper chairs \u003C\/a\u003Ealong with some drapery and a \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/29edvsf\" target=\"_blank\"\u003Esisal rug\u003C\/a\u003E will finish off this room beautifully.
