Whadya wanna know?

I swear, most people in Brooklyn don't speak this way. And since we're on the topic, please ignore anything you have ever learned about Brooklyn from a movie. 99 times out of a 100 its dead wrong. Thanks for your consideration.

But on to the main topic of this post: Do you have any questions for me?

I've noticed that I've been a little bit self involved on this blog. Its all me, me, me! Sure, this medium isn't ideal for balanced discussion that doesn't mean I have to be completely oblivious to what YOUR NEEDS, does it?
So here is a call out for questions. Is there something you want to see? Are you renovating and have a query I might be able to help with? Throwing a at home party you want help with? Struggling with decor related choices and wouldn't mind an extra set of eyes? Is there something you think I should buy or do or see? Undecided between Lucky Charms or Cocoa Puffs? Feel free to drop me a line at bklimestoner@aol.com

I've already gotten some great questions (and tangential conversations) over the past two years but those have all been for my eyes only. I'm officially opening the flood gates. Bring it on!

  2. My question is where did you learn your photography skills? I love all your pictures. And do you Photoshop them? Can I convince you to do photography and Photoshop lessons via your blog ala Pioneer Woman???

  3. My biggest question when I read your blog (which is definitely one of my favorites) is, really, who ARE you? What do you do? What do you look like? I love your writing, your photography, your decorating skills, which gives me insight into some things, but leaves me with more, more, more questions.

  4. O.K.- I love your kitchen- just think it's the best use of space.
Is it not a joy to work in? I have wondered how your blackboard paint worked on your pantry door? I would love to try it- but want to know it's merits first.

I would love to know where your design inspiration came from- what books did you read? What catalogs do you love to see in the mailbox, what magazines do you skim through? Oh, and I'm with live a colorful life- who are you? Tell us more about yourself, your life, etc.!

  6. I do love Brooklyn. My daughter moved there from Oklahoma, to work in Manhattan. She got married and they live in Park Slope. She loves it and I love to visit. Sometimes it is a few days before we venture into the city when I visit. I love your blog, watching you make your brownstone come alive with your personality. I often wonder if I have walked past it on a visit there.

  8. I love your home! It's so beautiful and full of character. Do you have a specific "picture" in your head of how you want things to look? Or do you sort of design as you go?

  10. Notorious the movie was just done, and he was from Brooklyn. I have never been to Brooklyn, but based on what I have heard in songs, read, and see, there are different sides. No?

  11. what celebrity do people say you look like? and do you agree with them?

    thx!!!

  12. Yes, I have to agree with the stalkers - who are you, what do you do, what do you look like, how did you get such bloody good taste? This blog world is a little weird - some of us are overexposed (names, photos, career descriptions) while others are anonymous. I think it is human nature to want to know - who is she and how does she afford all this and how is she doing this?

I am continualy amazed at the worlds of people I see online - I never MEET people this interesting in real life. Just goes to show how much of ourselves we hide from everyday life as well.

So to answer your question - more about YOU, at least a few details!

Also a question on your soapstone counter top, how do you like it so far and where did you get it do you have a number to research the product?

  17. I don't know if you are looking for draperies, I have used halfpricedrapes.com several times for clients. They have a decent color selection and are of okay quaility for the price. And for client's, I usually like to keep the draperies in a neutral close to the wall color. It tends to be the most versatile.

    Eww, I have a few.

Who or what inspires your home decor? Do you follow the look of someone in particular? What does your husband do? Worst trait?

Can't wait to read the answers.
