Wandering mind, chained to my desk.

Nothing new on the homefront to report. Just that I'm having one of those days that I wish I was far, far, far away from here.

How about the canals of Venice?

  2. Hey, glad you stopped by! I stop by to see you too, but don't always leave a comment.

Your house is really coming along SO great. That bust came from a great store in ATL called House Parts (an architectural store). I used to visit their warehouse regularly & hit the clearance room where they had lots of imperfect things for a steal. She came from that clearance room and I can't even remember how much she was, but I'd say around $20 or so. You can visit them here, I did a quick look on the catalog pages, but didn't find her on there. I have no idea what she is called, but you may be able to call & ask them about any of their female statues. The shop is great to visit in person. It's one of my fave places to shop & I miss it the most in moving away from ATL. They do plaster, resin, concrete things. Lots of eye candy.

  3. I am so jealous you went to Italy for your honeymoon. We went to DC. No fun. I'd take just being in the faux-Venice inside the Venetian Hotel in Vegas right about now.

  8. I have those days quite often...although I'm chained to a 4 month old (not that I'm complaining). Venice is always on my daydream list. Actually, the NON tourist parts of Venice...I thought all of the touristy areas sucked due to the hourds of people everywhere, but the quiet areas were magical.

  11. I saw your question about Southern Hospitality's bust (insert hee hee here) and looked up a company I have bookmarked....I'm sure that the prices are way WAY higher than $20 but thought you might want to take a look anyway...I'd love the Thalia bust but it's p.r.i.c.e.y.
