Steal this Idea*: Paint Chips

Its Friday (yippee!) - time for another Steal this Idea* feature - a tiny show of appreciation for a well executed tutorial.

Today is a free for all especially for anyone who has spent far too many hours staring, collecting and comparing paint chips (me!). Check out some of these clever ways other bloggers have recycled those little bits of paper into something amazing.

paint chip art from the 3 rs

a pretty paper chandy from hey gorgeous

great little gift boxes from how about orange

a paint chip calendar from hey things change

I am really tempted try a paint chip project myself. Some petty larceny might be involved :)

What about you? Have you mastered the art of paint chip recycling?

postscript: *When I say steal, I really mean borrow nicely and give proper credit!

**If you have an idea/tutorial you would like me to consider for a feature, email me. I'd love to see!

  5. I made a really simple paint chip mobile for my son's nursery nook... love that it's a FREE craft courtesy of Benjamin Moore so if you mess up = no biggie.

I love the paint chip craze going around. Did you know that as a designer, Sherwin Williams will send you a huge case with every paint color they make. You can also order 8.5 x 11 sheets of any you want for FREE. It will ship right to your house. I would be dead meat without my trusty SR paint chip case. Can't wait to see all the new paint chip idea's!

  7. I once found bags and bags of paint chips on the street outside of a paint store one night in NYC, Already had my own collection at home. I sorted them by color and use them for embellishing cards and stuff. Only in NYC!
