Must Make: Ammo Can Vertical Garden

It might surprise you that I have an ammo can sitting in my basement (not from practical use but from finding it in my neighbors trash pile and thinking it was too cool to throw away - thanks neighbors!).

So when I spotted this vertical garden project, I just had to save it to my must make list.  It's super clever and adds a great industrial element to an outdoor space. Bravo The Horticult!  They even share a great step by step tutorial of how to make your own.

Side note: It's still cold here but I'm itching to get going on some outdoor projects.  Will this winter ever end?

  3. Oh gosh yes, those military ammo cans rock!! They're air and water tight if they still have their gaskets, so they come in really handy for storing things that need to be kept dry (or away form bears and coons) My husband and brothers made a sort of pantry with them at their deer camp, because, yea we're rednecks.

I'll have to have them pick me up a few!

    1. We do have 'coons in Brooklyn but they dont come inside (usually) so I dont have that particular need. Maybe thats why my ammo can has been collecting dust :)

    1. I have no love for April Fools so you will not see any pranks from me. I just thought this was a fun way to use vertical space in the garden.
