Imaginary Shopping

I know consumerism is a dirty word these days but I don't care. I'm going on an imaginary shopping spree for things I don't need but I want anyway. Economic downturn be damned, imaginary shopping never hurt anyone.

First stop, is Urban Outfitters for this jewelry tree. I might have a total of 2 necklaces and I never wear them - so I definitely don't need this. But isn't it purdy?
(Shamelessly stolen from the ever chic Stamford Wife's bedroom)

Next stop is the online boutique A Beautiful Life. There are a quite a few things I could throw in my shopping cart here but these three brass birds are a favorite. They would look so pretty on my make believe shelves!

And now the old home decor giant that everyone loves to hate - Pottery Barn. These faux french apothecary bath accessories are lovely. I'm definitely not organized enough to move my bath stuff from package to pretty pot but a girl can dream, right?

Last but not least these zinc letters from Ballard Designs to spell out our monogram.

Want to come shopping with me? Whats on your list?

  1. I love the letters. I have them from Anthropologie in my Carraige House bathroom! Smaller, and just a couple of B's ;-)

    The birds are cute!

  7. The apothecary bath accessories are gorgeous, but I can only imagine what it would be like trying to refill that pretty toothpaste tube.

I pretty much just got out of school for the summer, but I'm already lusting after school supplies for next school year (most of which I don't really need.) I had to forcibly keep myself from ordering a Moleskine planner, instead contenting myself in converting a Moleskine notebook that I already have to suit my planning needs. I don't know what it is about office/school supplies, I just freaking love them. I could spend so much money in Staples. Excuse me while I go lovingly caress my paper clips and pens.

  10. I bought my husband some of the apothecary bath decor from Bath & Body by Bigelow Chemists (looks exactly the same). Even though it is purely for look and serves no functional purpose as he does not shave with a straight razor, I love looking at them.

  15. Love the birds, and love imaginary shopping. I've tried to explain to my husband that just because I imaginary shop, doesn't mean I want or need to buy it all. I just love the hunt!

  17. I did this the other day, at an actual store. Just tried everything on without looking at the price. I know, poor store clerks....

  18. I have the necklace tree (in cream) and it is the best - I get compliments from everyone who uses our guest bath! And I've been pining over the same zinc letter for our kitchen for awhile now!

Let's see, on my list...Anthro tea house doorknobs for all our doors, Moravian Star ceiling lights for our hallways (Shades of Light), the West Elm antique tiled mirror, to name a few!
