A little freebie.

Over the past week or so, I've gotten a few requests for the design I made/had printed for the chair in my guestroom. The design uses vintage chair illustrations and my attempt at a subtle undercurrent of french accents. And doesn't all text look better in French? I think so - loosely translated, the text reads "Please be seated."

I can't quite figure out just why it got popular over the past few days but I'm happy to help. If you would like the file to use for your own personal projects, consider it my gift to you.

So whether you send this off to have some fabric printed or use it printed on paper or in some way, please don't keep it to yourself. I'd love to see what its being used for. Email me so I can live vicariously through your projects.

edited to add: I designed this just to make a single yard for the chair cover. Its not a seamless pattern so it wouldn't work very well if you have more area to cover. (Not sure how to make it seamless.) I used Spoonflower to print this.

  7. Oh MY...I was totally thinking about this print today (for reals). I was at JoAnn fabrics and couldn't find anything to cover my little telphone bench seat...I wanted to get a little chair or telephone print (checked etsy, too). This would be faboo! Merci beaucoup.

  11. Tam: I used www.spoonflower.com but there are others.

Linda: I did the design but the fabric was printed by a fabric company.

Monica: I'm happy to sell my photos to anyone who wants them. Email me and let me know which you wanted and we'll figure it out.

Is there a service I can just upload my photos to so anyone who wants them can purchase? I know Shutterfly has that option but it will cost me $100 to sign up. Obviously not ideal. There has to be a service that just makes money off the prints, right?

  17. Thank you so very much for sharing this print. As a scrapbooker I immediately thought of a LO when I saw this print. However, I may have it printed on canvas and frame the print to hang as wall art. What ever I decide to do I promise to post it on my blog with a link back to yours. Thanks for sharing!
