Pretty Package Party

December is here! Now that I've shopped my heart out, it's time to get wrapping. So I thought it would be the perfect time for a little gift wrap inspiration thanks to some of my favorite blogger friends. Let's get this party started! Want to join us? Simply post your gift wrap and tag it with #prettypackage.

I'll break the ice with pretty package -  one that involves zero christmas paper but still feels festive. I used simple black kraft paper (purchased cheaply in giant rolls bulk) and these Martha Stewart mini battery lights to add a little something unexpected to a special package.

Have any of your own pretty packages to share?  Christmas is for sharing - don't keep it to yourself.

  1. I was just sitting here in my kitchen with Christmas decorations all around me and I came to one conclusion.
    I love your blog.
Thanks for hosting and being generally creative and full of inspiration and amazingly wonderful.
Thank you for being you. :)

    Happy day friend!

    1. Thank you so much Karianne - so kind of you to say especially coming from you!!

  2. This really lights up my life! Now if I could just get a message to Santa that not only do I want a trip back to France, but I want it wrapped up in lights!

    1. Can I stow away in your suitcase?

  3. I adore your package....I need more details on how you added the lights and where everything is tucked!!!! Thanks for putting this together, so fun and inspiring!! I'm ready to tackle the pile of gifts. Once UPS delivers them, that is! :) xo

    1. Oh I probably should have mentioned that, right?
I just twisted the lights into a circle and used some hot glue to attach it to the package and a little more hot glue to add the bow. The battery pack is taped to the back and the lead wire is nearly completely hidden by the little red striped bow. Easy peasy!

  4. I'm always a fan of a well-wrapped gift :) It was fun getting to indulge in major wrapping whimsy! lol This was such a great idea!

  5. Fresh greenery on brown craft paper? All time fave.
