Blue'd away.

Not to beat a dead horse but this photo of the home of Shannon Kaye (part of a completely fabulous apartment therapy house tour) made my heart skip a beat.

Deep blue walls looking amazing without lots of offsetting white still looks good. That combined with a lots if encouragement might have just dragged me over the fence.

Hmmm.

oh, I want to copy all of this! Hope you are terrifically encouraged to take the plunge! How do you think they did that ceiling? My neck is hurting already ~ it is warning me to not even think about it! ;)

Don't forget to tell us the paint color you end up choosing, and of course the obligatory after photos! Looking forward to seeing the finished product!

Wow, that is gorgeous! I was going to paint our master bedroom dark blue, but ended up going with a dark gray instead. I find dark walls to be very. Plus they're very dramatic, which I love.

Oops - accidentally deleted the word "cozy after "I find dark walls to be very".

It's beautiful.  Maybe it's just my monitor though but it looks to me more like a dark slate color than blue.

  10. I love it. I have been obsessed with navy and I have wanted an accent wall like this for years. I just took the plunge last week and it looks amazing. Once the room is all said and done (I need pillows & curtains) I will post pictures on my blog.

  11. I love the idea of dark grey. I did light grey in my living room. I had dark grey in my old home and need a change. Not much of a change huh?
