Lazy bones.

I got back from work trip on Friday (could you tell I was posting from the other side of the world through a haze of jet lag?) and totally wasted the weekend doing nada. That probably sounds pretty good to lots of people but it makes me feel like a wasteful sack of garbage. Oh well, til next weekend.

Pink surprise!Enjoying a second cup. Feeling very lazy today. Not sure if anything is getting done today.

It just so happened to be absolutely gorgeous here in NY so I did get to savor the first tastes of spring. I think I might have to work on some outdoor projects next weekend if the weather cooperates and I've snapped out of my sloth like funk.

Despite not making any physical progress, I'm mentally working on the shore bedroom, the man cave, a new organization project and a couple of trip recaps. Oh and I downloaded the Breaking Dawn soundtrack which is embarassing to admit but I do love some of those angst filled songs.

I know lots of you accomplished some fabulous projects this weekend - lay it on me. I need some inspiration. What did you do?

  1. I did very little this weekend, too.  I put together a Spring Mantel, but that didn't really take any time at all.  I mostly indulged in the good weather, by taking a day trip to Ithaca with some girlfriends, and going to a friend's barbecue.

Looking forward to your trip recap.  You always take the most stunning pictures that have me itching to dig out my carryon bag.

  2. We did some gardening! We have a flowerbed in front of our house but the newly sprouting grass was taking it over and making it look quite terrible indeed. We ripped out all the grass (ugh!) and planted some new seeds! It was my first time planting seeds--wish us luck!

  3. I accomplished nothing this weekend - well, a little cleaning on Saturday, but seriously, Sunday was wasted.  And that's ok with me ;D

I am decluttering! My house is chaos with boxes everywhere but I am making progress. I told my husband the boxes he sees today are the same boxes he saw last week. They're new ones & the old ones are gone. I have my momentum going & I hope to go to the end.

I did SO much this weekend. I painted my porch steps, mowed my lawn, painted my mailbox, and cleaned house. I had the exterior of my house painted this past summer, and it just still looked unfinished since the concrete steps were looking rough.

  9. Made vegan butter 1st time, tried vegan cheese 1st time, made fresh squeezed lemon/limeade (GREEN for St. Pat's Day), decided to do a water fasting this week or next for three days, made three batches of kale chips & decided to just put it in salad from now on, ordered the first season of Downton Abbey, read a few chapters of Sense and Sensibilty and lounged.

I hear ya sister.  I drank maybe just a smidge too many cocktails on St. Pattys Day so Sunday was a wash.  Did a pretty cute little DIY personalized globe on Saturday that turned out well.

  11. Unfortunately this weekend was about the same in my neck of the woods...but the mind was abuzz and the fingers were furiously googling, planning future projects to drive my husband crazy. We break ground so to speak on a new front exterior shortly and there are a lot of fixture choices and such to sort through before we do.

  14. You are a healthy super star. I tried my hand at making regular cheese and it didn't turn out as amazing as I hoped. I have to try it again once I can find low pasteurized milk - kind of harder than I imagined.

  18. Good luck. Seeds scare me off completely. You'll have to tell me how it goes.
