Despite being the tiniest room in creation, Agatha's nursery took quite a long time to put together. Thankfully everything is in place now and I just love how the room turned out. So without further ado, here it is.
You might remember I had a slightly different layout for this space. The main reason I moved things around was because it just felt more spacious in here with the larger pieces of furniture on the left hand side vs. the right. To refresh your memory, here was the original design (read all about it here)
That change meant a few others fell into place as well like nixing the picture molding and changing up the art but I'm still really pleased with how it turned out.
Rewind just a year and this is what the room looked like.
Or going way back to 2007, it was a hot mess.
Naturally I have one or two small touches I'd like to add in here (isn't that always the way?) but I'll do those as I have free time. Hahahahaha. Free time seems like such a joke right now.
Now if only we could get Agatha to sleep at night and then we could really pat ourselves on the back :)
Source info can be found here.
As usual, it looks amazing! Love all of the little touches and the colors are fab!
ReplyDeleteA room fit for a princess. Eventually she'll sleep thru the night fear not.
ReplyDeleteThis is just such a perfect space. I love every inch of it. The spot of turquoise is unexpected but brings it all together so well.
ReplyDeleteReally turned out great! Enjoy making lots of special memories in her new room.
ReplyDeleteVery stylish and sweet. Like the big turquoise chair with the coral. And the dictionary is the best!
ReplyDeleteAdorable!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the cutest nurseries I have ever seen! And it is original! Well done! I did wonder why you chose a turquoise chair rather than the orange shown in your original drawing? I like the change-up, but wondered your thinking behind the new choice. I aim to do a couple of blogs soon on two nurseries as my daughter and daughter-in-law are each awaiting babies.
ReplyDeleteThat room is adorable. I love the colors you chose. Such a sweet little room to enjoy your Agatha. Good luck getting her to sleep. I know how that feels.
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me where you found those book ledges? Also, the glider and dresser! Thank you -
ReplyDeleteWow, this room sure has come a long way! I love the use of what limited space you had. The perfect little room for the perfect little lady!

Beautiful!! Such a great color scheme, and I'm in love with that crib! It almost makes me want to have another baby.......almost.
ReplyDeleteOh, the books! I love how you've displayed them and I kind of what that word art for myself. The room is adorable.
ReplyDeleteAbsolute perfection! So fitting for your sweet girl. I love the color palette... so classic and polished while having a trendy edge. The curtains might be my absolute fave in the room next to those amazing navy walls.
ReplyDeleteIt's such a sweet beautiful room. You are so creative! You said you'd give source info in a future post - I'd love to read the framed prints on the dresser wall. (I hope you haven't posted those before & I missed them)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a stunning room! But, more importantly, it looks like a happy place and I'm sure Agatha can feel that already. I'd love to know where you got the frames for the prints and what size you have the prints at. I remember you posting about them before and I've been thinking of doing my own version but am not sure about the size.
ReplyDeleteI spied Knuffle Bunny on Agatha's bookshelf! That's my all-time fave children's book. Make sure to get Knuffle Bunny Too and Knuffle Bunny Free if you don't have them already. Great job on the nursery!
ReplyDeleteadorable!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!!!! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! My baby (ahem, *toddler*) is in a room about the same size (our floor space is even smaller than the dimensions you gave earlier, but we do have a closet), so I completely understand the challenges. While I definitely appreciate the closet, I am SO envious of your space for a chair. We only have space for a tall, narrow dresser and a small crib (now small toddler bed). If I'm not mistaken, you mentioned earlier that your walls are plaster. I'd love to know what you use to hang things – especially those book shelves. We're ancient plaster around here too, and have the hardest time hanging things without the wall crumbling!
ReplyDeleteThe room is just darling and I love the colors you used. Time, yes it is used differently. Enjoy these moments, they are the ones you will look back and wish for the world you had them again. It goes so fast.
ReplyDeleteI really love the colors you used. On thing about parenthood is you will get lots of unsolicited advice. But a good tip a mother of 5 once gave me was getting my baby acquainted with Day and Night. I was keeping the house like a dimly light cave 24/7 and once I heard this an made the changes he picked up on it and started to change his sleeping habits. My son is almost one and sleeps through the night, she'll get there. Eventually!
ReplyDeleteIt came out fabulous! I am designing my third child's room now and it looks like the same size about 12 x 12 LOL What program did you use for the original concept drawing, looks hip.
ReplyDeleteOne of the most beautiful spaces I've ever seen! Amazing choices. Beautiful work. Just lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love the wall color you used! Looking at using something like that for my dining room- would you mind sharing what color you used?? Beautiful design!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cute and cozy room! Love it :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks fantastic! The colors turned out perfect.
ReplyDeleteIt's adorable!! Love her rocker!!
ReplyDeletejust lovely and you have done a wonderful job. Colours are delightful.
ReplyDeleteHi, Stefani! Wow, it's beautiful, so stylish and such a cute baby space too. I am so happy for you, big congrats. You never disappoint in the room reveals.

ReplyDeleteStunning perfection, S!!! I love this room, and would sleep like a champ in there! You did an amazing job...so talented!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is the cutest little room! Congrats on your little one!
ReplyDeleteLove it!! I wasn't expecting that chair colour but it looks fantastic!! Well done. :-)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! And OMG, the little white coat is completely adorable!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Its from Old Navy of all places. In case you are in the market for a tiny faux fur coat, its on clearance now :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Julia. We are working the double swaddle this week trying to get her to snooze for longer stretches at night. It's not quite making her a good sleeper just yet but its definitely helping.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I have some photos of how I made it that I was thinking of sharing as a DIY post but then I realized its probably pretty obvious how to make your own :)
ReplyDeleteOh how I wish I had 12 x 12 - this room is less than 11x7! I drew the original design in illustrator - I don't have a CAD program.

ReplyDeleteThanks Jenna. That book's background photos are of our neighborhood so I was actually familiar with this book even before children's books were on my mind. Such a sweet little story.
ReplyDeletelovely white coat...:)

I love it! Perfect little room for a perfect little girl. The turquoise chair is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThis is just beyond adorable!

Ooooh la la! One of the prettiest nurseries I have seen. I really love the choice of colors and you definitely made a small space work hard! Beautiful!

Jen
Preeeeeettttyyy! Really, great job, Stephanie! And I love how the Premier Prints window treatments came out (I'm going to pretend that you went with those because I suggested them ; )).
ReplyDeleteSo, soooo lovely!
I just finished up the last few details (ha! right!) on my twins' nursery (even though they're 5-months-old). It's actually a somewhat similar color scheme minus the coral...and with gray wall...so not quite. Ahem. I'll shoot you the link.
