Ode to the Sputnik

If you have been reading for any length of time you know I'm a big fan of the sputnik chandelier (exhibit A: my shore bathroom,).  It's beautiful in form, provides great dispersed light and works well in so many room types.

I love it so much I'm thinking of using it for when I finally getting around to moving Aggie into her "big girl room".  So imagine my excitement when I was strolling the aisles at Lowes during my Style Saturday event and spotted this incredibly affordable version at Lowes last month!  They even sell the edison style bulbs.

At $198, it's hard to beat. And while I was at it, I spotted a few other great fixtures there as well.

allen + roth valleymeade $198 / allen + roth bronze pendant $118 / antique white $149

Thanks to Lowes for having me over and thanks for offering such stylish lighting pieces.

  1. My dream is to have this type of light in my office! It just means I need to get the ceiling fan in my master bedroom working so that I can ditch the ceiling fan in my office. So it's really two projects in one!

  2. You guys are so lucky across the border. There is a similar 16-light one at Lowes Canada for $600! I would grab the light without any second thought, and find a place in my house for it later. It would look fab in your daughter's big girl room.
