Today's idea comes from a rather unusual source. Instead of my long list of home design blogs, I've veered ever so slightly to the left and pilfered an idea from Green Wedding Shoes, a gorgeous wedding blog. Good design is good design right?
Isn't this an adorable little planter to have sitting on a table or desk? You could personalize it with your favorite novels or reference books? Or maybe have a fabulous dinner party with a bookish theme? I heart it. (And surely everyone who ran out and made their own stacked book lamp has a couple of extra volumes laying around?)
It even super simple to make so double score. Now watering it without wetting the pages will be another story.
Read all about it over Green Wedding Shoes.

I think watering with an ice cube would lessen the amount of moisture the pages take in.
ReplyDeleteI am so tired of unattractive crafts that ruin perfectly good books. Does no one read anymore? What a waste...
ReplyDeleteI think this is a lovely way to use old books you've read or thrifted books. You could also water using an eye dropper. I did that with another miniature succulent arrangement, and it worked great!
ReplyDeletewould be more keen in knowing "watering it without wetting the pages"...this is most important to keep my desk top the way it is.
