Its Friday (yippee!) - time for another Steal this Idea* feature - a tiny show of appreciation for a well executed tutorial.
You already know I'm a big fan of making your own art to grace your walls (see my passport art, dictionary art, photo gallery wall and free mini poster downloads) . So of course I loved this modern art piece that Tanya of Dans le Townhouse created for her home. Its ridiculously simple yet gorgeous and easy and cheap - how often do those factors coincide?
Starting with a blank canvas...
...she created a beautiful modern piece of artwork for her home.
I love her version in black but I think this would look pretty amazing with gold on a gray base too.
Thanks again to Tanya for sharing! Check out all the details as well as other great projects on her blog, Dans le Townhouse.
postscript: *When I say steal, I really mean borrow nicely and give proper credit!
**If you have an idea/tutorial you would like me to consider for a feature, email me. I'd love to see!
I could use some art that looks so fancy! Heading over to check out the tutorial!

Read this post this weekend on my phone but couldn't comment. Love how it ends up looking like the NYC skyline! Looks so doable.. might have to do it in a small version first with all of the 9x12 canvases I have laying around.
ReplyDeleteI do love artwork that is created by oneself and am currently into abstract art. This encourages me to try something soon.
